Sales open for gourmet luncheon series tickets
PRINCESS ANNE, MD - (Feb. 12, 2014) - The University of Maryland Eastern Shore’s Hospitality and Tourism Management program (formerly Hotel and Restaurant Management) has announced that tickets for its luncheon series on select Mondays and Wednesdays throughout the spring semester will go on sale Feb. 13.
Served at noon in the Bailey Thomas Room of the Richard A. Henson Center, the gourmet meals feature an appetizer, entrée and dessert prepared by students and faculty of the program. Tickets must be purchased in advance.
“Entrees are selected from a wide range of seafood, beef, chicken, pork and lamb dishes to please the varied palettes of our guests,” said Dr. Ernest Boger, chair of UMES’ Hospitality and Tourism program.
“Participation in the luncheon series and special events help our management students gain valuable banquet production and service experience in real-life settings,” he said.
“UMES is known as one of ‘the places’ to sample up-scale food,” said Boger. “If it is a gourmet lunch you’re looking for, at everyday prices, get your tickets now as sales move quickly.”
The lunches are on Feb. 24 and 26; March 10, 12, and 31; April 2, 21, 23, 28 and 30; and May 5 and 7. Tickets are $12 per person and must be purchased in person.
