    Dr. Chigbu earned his Ph.D. in Fisheries from the University of Washington, in Seattle, WA, and a M.Sc. in Zoology (Hydrobiology) from the University of Benin, Nigeria. He also serves as a Member, University of Maryland Eastern Shore Research Council, Fall 2007- Present. Dr. Chigbu teaches the PSM Fish Population/Dynamics & Stock Assessment course, and, is co-instructor, with Dr. Eric May, of the Fish Ecology course.

    Mohammad Ali, Ph.D.  
    Assistant Professor 
    Dr. Mohammad Ali earned his Ph.D. and Master of Science degrees in Food and Resource Economics from the University of Florida. He also has an MBA and a Master of Arts in Economics both from the University of Dhaka in Dhaka, Bangladesh. He spent 13 years in the office of the Comptroller and Auditor General of Bangladesh and also served the Central Bank of Bangladesh for more than 5 years. Dr. Ali is the instructor for the Risk and Decision Analysis in Natural Resource Management course for the PSM program.

    Nicole Buzzeto-More, Ph.D. 
    Associate Professor 
    Dr. Nicole A. Buzzetto-More is an Associate Professor of Business Education and Computer Applications as well as the Business Education Program Coordinator, in the Department of Business, Management, and Accounting at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore. She is a Microsoft Certified Application Specialist (MCAS) and a Certified Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS). Dr. Buzzeto-More is the instructor for the Business and Fisheries Ethics course for the PSM Program.

    Albert Chi, Ph.D. 
    Assistant Professor, UMES 
    Dr. Albert Y. Chi graduated from National Tsing-Hua University (Hsinchu Campus), Taiwan, China, in 1969 with a B.S. degree in Mathematics, and received his Ph.D. degree in Statistics from Oklahoma State University, Stillwater, OK, USA in 1979. Prior to joining UMES, Dr. Chi served as an industry/academic liaison as well as visiting professor of Information Systems at several universities in Taiwan (2002-2007).

    Tao Gong, Ph.D. 
    Assistant Professor 
    Dr. Gong earned his Ph.D. degree in economics from Middle Tennessee State University in 2005. His current research interests include applied microeconomics, labor economics, and college student experiences and learning. Dr. Gong teaches courses that include economics, multivariate statistics, and quantitative research methods. His research interests include applied econometrics, microeconomics, and managerial economics. Dr. Gong is the instructor for the Econometrics course for the PSM Program.

    Andrea Johnson, Ph.D. 
    Research Assistant Professor 
    Dr. Johnson earned her Ph.D. in Population Medicine from North Carolina State University, Raleigh, NC in 2004, and her M.S. in Marine Science from University of South Florida, St. Petersburg, FL in1995. In addition to her Research responsibilities and interests, she teaches courses in Fish Immunology (MEES 698) and Fish Physiology (BIOL 688F). She also acts as a mentor for PSM students.

    Malik Malik, Ph.D. 
    Associate Professor 
    Dr. Malik is an Associate Professor in the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore. He is the instructor for the PSM Multivariate Statistics Course.

    Eric May, Ph.D. 
    Associate Professor 
    Dr. May earned his Ph.D. in Pathology from Oregon State University in 1982. He earned his M.S. in Cell Biology from Northern Arizona University in1972. Dr. May also served as the Distinguished Research Scientist. NOAA Living Marine Resources Cooperative Science Center. University of Maryland Eastern Shore. 2001-2009. Dr. May and Dr. Chigbu are co-instructors for the Fish Ecology course for the PSM Program.

    Brad Stevens, Ph.D. 
    Professor 
    Distinguished Research Scientist, LMRCSC 

    Dr. Stevens earned his Ph.D. in Fisheries from the University of Washington, and an M.S. in Marine Biology from the College of Charleston, SC. He is an Editorial Board Member, for the Journal of Shellfish Research (2008-present) and has designed and built 5 video camera sleds; BRAD-5 (Benthic Resource Assessment Device). Dr. Stevens is the instructor for the Fisheries Survey Sampling course for the PSM Program.

    Stephan Tubene, Ph.D. 
    Associate Professor 
    Dr. Tubene earned his Ph.D. in Agricultural Economics from Kansas State University and his M.S. in Agricultural Economics, from Alcorn State University, He is currently Associate Professor of Agricultural Economics at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore and Small Farm Specialist at the University of Maryland Cooperative Extension. Dr. Tubene has expertise in mathematical, analytical and problem solving skills complemented by strong econometric and quantitative methods. He is the instructor for the Advanced Micro-Economics course for the PSM Program.

    Judith Rose 
    Coordinator, PSM Program 
    Ms. Rose earned a B.S. degree in Human Physiology from the University of Illinois in Urbana, IL. She spent 2 years doing laboratory research in immunology before changing to a career in business. At UMES she was the International Programs Coordinator for 2 ½ years before moving to the PSM Program in August 2011.
