    Dr. Nan, Assistant Professor in Pharmaceutical Sciences, teaches in the areas of pharmaceutics, biopharmaceutics and pharmacokinetics. Prior to joining UMES he was on the faculty and served as co-director of the Center for Nanomedicine and Cellular Delivery, University of Maryland, Baltimore. The focus of Dr. Nan’s research is on the design and development of novel polymeric and engineered nanostructures for biomedical applications, specifically in the area of targeted delivery of bioactive and imaging agents. He has received funding from the DOD, NSF and Maryland Industrial Partnerships.
