    Bio

    Dr. Bill Harbester is an Assistant Professor of Pharmacy Practice and Administration and the Assistant Dean for Experiential Education at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore School of Pharmacy.  He earned his Doctor of Pharmacy Degree at the Wilkes University Nesbitt School of Pharmacy in 2006.  He has a background in community pharmacy where he has served as a community pharmacy manager and in district leadership positions on the topics of immunizations, medication therapy management, diabetes, and point of care testing. 

    Dr. Harbester is a member of the American Pharmacists Association, Phi Lambda Sigma, the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy, the Delaware Pharmacists Society and the Maryland Pharmacists Association.  He serves as the primary advisor for the APhA-ASP chapter at UMES and as a co-advisor for the National Community Pharmacists Association chapter.  He is a past president of the Delaware Pharmacists Society and has been recognized with several awards from the Delaware Pharmacists Society and the University of Maryland Eastern Shore School of Pharmacy.  Along with being a certified immunizing pharmacist, he is a trainer for the American Pharmacists Association Immunization and Diabetes certificate programs and has trained hundreds of pharmacists and pharmacy students on immunization knowledge, technique, and delivery.
