Neuro and Balance Laboratory

    The state of the art Balance Laboratory offers learning experiences with current evidence-based interventions in neurologic rehabilitation, including treadmill unweighting and forceplate perturbation analysis on the NeuroCom SMART Equitest system. Student research projects have incorporated this technology in their analyses of such topics as: plyometric stretching regimens, coordination performance, and falls in the elderly. In addition, the laboratory is equipped with extensive rehabilitation equipment which enhances learning activities reflective of contemporary physical therapy practice.
