IFARMS Initiative to Hold Informational Meetings

  • Small Farms ClassPRINCESS ANNE, MD – (September 12, 2018) – IFARMS, the Increasing Farmers Access to Resources and Management Solutions initiative of the UMES Small Farms Program, is partnering with USDA Rural Development and other state, government and regional agricultural partners to host several informational meetings on Thursday, September 27. Beginning and limited resource farmers, socially disadvantaged farmers and veteran and aspiring farmers are invited to attend. 

    The first of the two meetings begins at 10 a.m. and will be held in the Student Services Center Multipurpose Room on the UMES campus.  It will last for 2 hours.  The second meeting for the day will be held at the Charles County Soil Conservation District at 4200 Gardiner Road in Waldorf, Md.  It is set to begin at 5:30 p.m. and will end at 7:30. Dinner will be provided.  Pre-registration is therefore required.
