    Dr. Joseph Arumala

    is a Civil/Structural Engineer, Interim Chair of the Department of Technology, and a Professor in the Construction Management Technology Program. He teaches several courses including Structural Analysis ad Design and Surveying. He is the Faculty Advisor for the UMES Chapter of Sigma Lambda Chi, the International Honor Society for Construction and is actively involved in Community Development projects and in research into sustainable Alternative Building Materials and Renewable Energy Use in Buildings.

    Dr. Leon Copeland

    is an Emeritus Professor in the Department of Technology. He has an Ed.D. in Occupational and Technical Education from Virginia Tech. Dr. Copeland has a wealth of experience in curriculum development and program administration. He has received grant funding from the National Science Foundation, The Federal Highway Administration, The State Highway Administration and the Maryland State Department of Education. Dr. Copeland teaches graduate and professional education courses.

    Dr. Kenny Fotouhi 

    is a Professor in the Electrical Engineering Technology program. He has a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Missouri. Dr. Fotouhi has been actively involved in a joint research project at the University of Maryland College Park developing new semi conductor materials. Dr. Fotouhi teaches courses in circuit analysis, advanced computer networks, logic and switching, and circuit design.

    Ms. Etahe Johnson

    is the Academic Support Specialist for the Cyber Security Engineering Technology program. She has a Master of Science in Industrial Education and Technology from Iowa State University. Ms. Johnson received her Bachelor of Science from North Carolina A&T State University in Industrial Technology. Ms. Johnson brings nearly 15 years in industry experience. She teaches courses in AutoCAD, Solidworks, Technology and Society, and Freshman Year Experience.

    Dr. Tyler Love

    is an Associate Professor and Coordinator of the Technology and Engineering (T&E) Education program. He has a Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction with a concentration in Integrative STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) Education from Virginia Tech. Dr. Love received his Bachelor of Science degree from UMES in Technology Education. As an undergraduate student he was a member of the UMES Honors Program and played baseball for the Hawks. In 2015 Dr. Love received UMES's Ductus Exemplo "Leadership by Example" Distinguished Alumnus honor. He specializes in research focused on designing safer STEM education laboratories, and examining T&E educators' Pedagogical Content Knowledge. Dr. Love teaches undergraduate T&E and professional education courses.

    Dr. Thomas Loveland

     is a Professor and coordinates the M.Ed. Program in Career and Technology Education for the University of Maryland Eastern Shore. He has a Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction: Vocational Education from the University of South Florida.  Dr. Loveland has twice been a Fulbright Foundation Recipient and received the Lockette/Monroe Humanitarian Award from the International Technology and Engineering Educator Association.

    Dr. Jeffrey Molavi

     is a Professor in the Construction Management Technology program. He has a Ph.D.,  a M.S. degrees in Civil/Construction Engineering and Management, a Master of Architecture, a certificate in Urban Design and Planning all from the University of Colorado at Boulder. Dr. Molavi teaches courses in environmental technologies, construction methods and equipment, site development, green buildings, construction materials, and computer applications in construction.

    Dr. Carlos Salgado

    is an Associate Professor and Coordinator of the Construction Management Technology program. He has a Ph.D. in Construction Engineering and Management from the University of Maryland College Park, and a M.S. degree in Construction Engineering Ohio State University. Dr. Salgado teaches courses in quantity surveying, estimating planning and scheduling, construction contracts and specifications, project management, and microcomputer applications.

     Mr. Joel Tomlinson

    a Lecturer/Laboratory Technician for the Electrical/Electronic Engineering Technology program. He has a Bachelors in Electrical Engineering Technology and Masters in Career and Technology Education from the University of Maryland Eastern Shore. Mr. Tomlinson specializes in electronic troubleshooting, manufacturing, and CAD design. He teaches courses pertaining to digital electronics, instrumentation, solid state devices, and PLCs.


    Dr. Yilmaz pic

     Dr. Emin Yilmaz

    is a Professor in the Mechanical Engineering Technology program. He has a Ph.D. in Nuclear Engineering from the University of Michigan. Dr. Yilmaz has broad and comprehensive knowledge in various engineering and technical disciplines including computers and data acquisition. Dr. Yilmaz is a P.E. (Professional Engineer) and he teaches strength of materials, applied dynamics, design technology, and computer integrated manufacturing.
