She is also the Residency Program Director of the UMES\/Apple Discount Drugs PGY-1 Community Pharmacy Residency, and Assistant Professor of Pharmacy in the Department of Pharmacy Practice and Administration.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Dr. Sherr earned her Doctor of Pharmacy Degree and Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy Degree from the Lebanese American University in Byblos, Lebanon. She then went on to pursue a PGY-1 Pharmacy Practice Residency with emphasis on Ambulatory Care and Public Health at Samford University, McWhorter School of Pharmacy in Birmingham, AL. She developed and maintained a clinical practice site in the Ambulatory Care clinics at Chesapeake Health Care, (f.k.a. &nbsp;Three Lower Counties Community Services) in Salisbury, MD and Pocomoke, MD prior to assuming her new role in the Office of Professional Affairs.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In her current role, Dr. Sherr focuses on student professionalism, continuing professional development, community service, and interprofessional education and collaborations.&nbsp;Dr. Sherr teaches in pharmacotherapy modules and in the Professional Development course series. She is a member of&nbsp;several professional organizations including ASHP, AACP, APhA, and Eastern Shore Area Health Education Center.&nbsp;Her areas of interest include interprofessional education, post-graduate education, public health, chronic disease prevention and management, continuing professional development, and professionalism in pharmacy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><u>Residency Learning Experiences:<\/u><\/strong>&nbsp;Academia, Research and Professional Development<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Lana Sherr, Pharm.D.
