If you would like to cancel, please email agcomm@umes.edu.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">***<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Learn how to start your own pasture broiler flock at a tour offered Tuesday, Oct. 20.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Pasture Poultry Twilight Tour by UMES Extension will be held 5:30-7 p.m. at the UMES Poultry Research and Education Building on the university campus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Aimed at small farmers, poultry growers and 4-H youth, the event will feature how to start your own pasture broiler flock including housing, type of pasture, nutrition and flock management.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The tour is free to attend but <a href=\"https:\/\/umespasturepoultrytour.eventbrite.com\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/umespasturepoultrytour.eventbrite.com\">pre-registration<\/a> is strongly encouraged by Oct. 19 as it is limited to 25 participants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Please practice biosecurity when attending this event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>WHEN: <\/strong>Tuesday, Oct. 20, 5:30-7 p.m.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>WHERE:<\/strong> UMES Poultry Research and Education Building,  Strickland Drive, Princess Anne<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>COST: <\/strong>Free, <a href=\"https:\/\/umespasturepoultrytour.eventbrite.com\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/umespasturepoultrytour.eventbrite.com\">pre-registration<\/a> is encouraged<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>CONTACT:&nbsp;<\/strong>Dr. Jennifer Timmons at jtimmons1@umes.edu<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Pasture Poultry Twilight Tour by UMES Extension, scheduled for Aug. 4, has been postponed until October.
