The requirements include both language courses and content courses from offerings in foreign language and\/or literature, as well as related fields such as foreign film or international affairs. Students must take six courses for 18 credit hours from the approved course list. The study abroad option is also available for certain languages. Students may choose multiple languages to complete the foreign language minor; however, if students choose more than one language, they must complete a 200 level course for each of the chosen languages.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Foreign Language Instructional Center at UMES offers Arabic, Chinese, French, Hindi, Korean (coming soon), Japanese, Portuguese, Spanish, Swahili, and English as a Second Language.
