He participated in IMET and University of Maryland Eastern Shore Research Experience for Undergraduate (REU) internships in 2024 and 2025, respectively, where he worked under Dr. Fang Chen and Dr. Dannise Ruiz Ramos. His research focused on the effects of pH on the health of microalgae and the population genetics of the Atlantic Horseshoe Crab. He joined the LMRCSC and began studying for his master\u2019s degree in marine, estuarine and environmental science with Dr. David Die at UMES in September 2026. His research areas include fisheries and the impacts of urbanization on estuaries.
