DESCRIPTION:The University of Maryland Eastern Shore will host a free Black History Month screening and panel discussion of the documentary\, Farming While Black\, on Thursday\, Feb. 12\, at 11 a.m.\nThis documentary examines the plight of Black farmers in the United States and the rising generation reclaiming their rightful ownership to land and reconnecting with their roots.\nThe 75-minute film screening will be followed by a 45-minute panel discussion featuring director Mark Decena\, and film subject and farmer Blain Snipstal\, along with other farmers.\nThe screening will be held in the Student Services Center theater on campus.
