Liberty Hanzer graduated with a B.S. in Computer Science from Delaware State University in May 2026, where she helped build a real-time data platform that translates complex regulatory information into a dynamic dashboard. In the summer of 2025, she completed the CodePath Intermediate Technical Interview Prep program under the supervision of Dr. Marwan Rasamny.
She joined the LMRCSC in August 2026 and is pursuing an M.S. in Natural Resources at Delaware State University, in the Department of Agriculture and Natural Resources, under the mentorship of Dr. Gulnihal Ozbay. Her research applies computer science to marine population modeling and science communication, building interactive, scenario-based tools. This work supports NOAA’s mission to build climate-resilient fisheries. Post-graduation, Liberty plans to work at the intersection of computer science and fisheries science, developing tools that give scientists and fishing communities a clearer picture of the ecosystems on which they depend.
