Taylor Azizeh graduated with dual B.S. in Environmental Science and Wildlife Science from the University of Idaho in 2019. Upon graduation, she participated in the U.S. Fulbright Program in Denmark and Greenland, where she worked with the Marine Bioacoustics Lab on a project examining the effects of micropredation on southern right whales in Argentina. She then began a year-long internship with the British Antarctic Survey while living in the U.K. In 2021, she began pursuing her M.S. in Marine Science at Moss Landing Marine Laboratories in California, where her thesis work focused on the foraging ecology of emperor penguins.

In 2024, she started work on her Ph.D. at the Marine Mammal Institute, Oregon State University. Her dissertation broadly focuses on predator-prey dynamics in large whales, which falls under NOAA’s mission to understand and predict changes in the ocean.
