The Pasture Poultry Twilight Tour by UMES Extension, scheduled for Aug. 4, has been postponed until October.

The tour will now be held on Tuesday, Oct. 20, from 5:30-7 p.m.

If you have already registered for the tour, the registration remains valid for the October event. If you would like to cancel, please email agcomm@umes.edu.

Learn how to start your own pasture broiler flock at a tour offered Tuesday, Oct. 20.

The Pasture Poultry Twilight Tour by UMES Extension will be held 5:30-7 p.m. at the UMES Poultry Research and Education Building on the university campus.

Aimed at small farmers, poultry growers and 4-H youth, the event will feature how to start your own pasture broiler flock including housing, type of pasture, nutrition and flock management.

The tour is free to attend but pre-registration is strongly encouraged by Oct. 19 as it is limited to 25 participants.

Please practice biosecurity when attending this event.
